Jones Web Designs & Development is now The Jones Foundry. What it means for clients

Service

Custom Software Development

Off-the-shelf software makes you work its way. When the spreadsheet has become the system, the process lives in someone’s inbox, or three tools almost do the job, we design and build the one that does.

The problem

What this solves

If any of these sound familiar, this is the right page.

  • Critical work runs on spreadsheets, email threads and copy-paste between systems
  • Off-the-shelf tools cover most of the process and fight you on the rest
  • Data lives in several places and nobody trusts which copy is current
  • An aging internal application nobody can safely change anymore
What we deliver

Solutions we build

Business applications

Multi-user web applications with accounts, roles, permissions and the records your team works with every day.

Dashboards & reporting

Live views of the numbers that matter, pulled from the systems you already have.

Workflow automation

Approvals, notifications, scheduled jobs and hand-offs that happen without someone remembering to do them.

Integrations & APIs

Connecting payment processors, email platforms, booking systems and public data sources, with webhooks and APIs designed to fail loudly instead of silently.

Data platforms

Database design, migrations and import pipelines that keep data clean as it moves between systems.

Modernization

Carefully replacing or rebuilding legacy systems without losing the data or the institutional knowledge inside them.

TournyScout website
Our product · TournyScout

A data pipeline that never sleeps

TournyScout, one of our own products, pulls tournament listings from multiple sanctioning bodies, re-reads every listing on a schedule, and keeps a field-by-field history of every change, so coaches see what moved and when.

  • Imports from several independent sources
  • Scheduled re-checks with a change history per field
  • Fit scoring that explains its reasoning

The foundry process

How a project runs

Every project moves through the same five stages, whether it’s a single integration or a full records system. You see working software early and often.

  1. 01

    Discover

Every great creation starts with an idea.

We examine the challenge, understand the opportunity, and establish what needs to be built.

  2. 02

    Shape

    Ideas need structure.

We architect the technology, plan its components, define the experience, and create the foundation.

  3. 03

    Forge

This is where the work takes form.

We engineer the application, integrate the systems, develop the functionality, and turn architecture into working software.

  4. 04

    Refine

Precision separates a prototype from a product.

We test, secure, optimize, and improve the solution.

  5. 05

    Deliver & Evolve

Built for use. Designed to grow.

We deploy the finished solution and keep supporting it as it evolves.

Questions

Common questions

Can you work with the software we already use?

Usually, yes. Most projects connect to existing systems through their APIs, exports or databases. We check what is possible before proposing anything.

Do we have to replace everything at once?

No. Many projects start with the one part of the process that causes the most pain, then grow from there once it is working.

How long does a project take?

It depends on scope. After a first conversation we give you a realistic estimate and a plan before any work begins.

Who supports it after launch?

We can. The same people who built it can maintain it, fix issues and add to it as your needs change.

Next step

Have an idea worth building?

Bring us the challenge. We’ll help shape the solution. You’ll hear back from the engineer who would build it, not a sales team.
